Overview
The cancer database is an innovative project driving digitalization and AI-supported analysis in cancer research. It addresses the challenge of inefficient, fragmented, and outdated data management by establishing a modern, AI-ready data infrastructure. This creates the foundation for the next stage of cancer research in Austria: AI-based analysis of large, heterogeneous datasets. As a result, research and therapy development are accelerated, new insights become possible, and Austria’s cancer research gains greater international competitiveness.

Inconsistent cancer data hampers research and the development of personalized therapies.
Solution
Development of a modern, standardized, and AI-enabled cancer database for all of Austria (integrating the sites in Vienna, Graz, and Innsbruck).
